Pryor Mountain Driving & Saddle Club

The Pryor Mountain Driving and Saddle Club is a group of people that enjoy sharing their horse hobby.  It all started when my wife and I would ask people to go with us on horse outings and it has morphed into a bigger group.  There are no fees, just fun.

We plan different events during the year which include obstacle driving practice at my home, short wagon trains of one or two nights, family days with children of all ages being taught how to be safe and ride or drive the horses, and even a barn dance. A couple of times we have gone to Arlene Goffena’s home in Roundup where we ride through the hill along the Mussellshell River and mingle with the elk herds.

Our most popular tradition is to go to Yellowstone National Park for a two day ride.  We stay at campgrounds or motels and spend one whole day in the saddle and the next day for about 1/2 day and finish up with an elk or buffalo burger and milkshake in Gardner, Mt. on the way home.  All ages and expertise are welcome.  You don’t have to live anywhere close to participate.  If you can come, you are a member of our group.

To get on our mailing list, just contact me, probably by email and I will copy you on whatever we are doing next.
